Aluminium Shutters Gold Coast — Custom-Made & Installed.
Want a patio you can use in any weather, a balcony that isn't on show to the street, and shade you can adjust by hand? Custom aluminium shutters Gold Coast homeowners rely on give your outdoor areas privacy, security and weather protection — without boxing them in. Every set is measured and made for your patio, deck, balcony, verandah or alfresco area (not pulled off a shelf), so you control sun, wind, glare and visibility while the breeze keeps flowing. Durable outdoor construction, powder-coated for our coastal climate, installed by our own local team.
Your outdoor area, protected and private.
Outdoor aluminium shutters do the jobs fabric can't. Whether you need external aluminium shutters for a street-facing balcony or custom aluminium shutters to close in the alfresco, here's what they do for your home.
Shade & glare control
Angle the blades to cut harsh afternoon sun and glare on your patio, balcony or alfresco — without losing your daylight.
Privacy screening
Screen street-facing spaces and neighbouring sightlines while still seeing out. Your outdoor area stops being on display.
Added security
A strong, fixed external barrier adds another layer of screening and protection to outdoor openings — and a more secure feel.
Adjustable airflow
Open the blades and the sea breeze flows straight through; close them and the weather stays out. You decide, hour by hour.
Durable outdoors
Powder-coated aluminium shrugs off sun, salt air and rain — a long-lasting external finish that timber can't match outside.
Custom sizing
Measured to your deck, verandah, balcony or outdoor room — including wide openings and tricky irregular spaces.
Suits every home
A clean architectural finish that looks right on modern builds and traditional Gold Coast homes alike.
More usable, more often
Turn an exposed patio into a protected outdoor room you can actually use — morning, noon and night, across the seasons.
One material, four ways to use it.
This is your hub for aluminium shutter options across outdoor areas, patios, balconies and external openings — every one custom measured and made for your home.
Outdoor Aluminium Shutters
Weather-resistant shutters for patios, decks, verandahs and alfresco areas. Control sun, wind, glare and privacy with adjustable blades — a practical way to make your outdoor space more comfortable, secure and protected year-round.
External Aluminium Shutters
Built for external openings, balconies, outdoor rooms and exposed areas. Durable, ventilated and custom fitted to your home's layout — with the privacy and security benefits fabric screening can't offer. Prefer fabric for a big span? Compare outdoor blinds.
Aluminium Plantation Shutters
The classic look of our plantation shutters in a material made for outside. Adjustable blades, airflow and a clean architectural finish — with the external durability timber and PVC can't offer in exposed areas.
Security Shutters
For homeowners wanting extra screening and a stronger external barrier around outdoor openings. Strengthened aluminium adds privacy, visual protection and a more secure outdoor environment — supporting (not replacing) your home security measures.
Made for the way you live outdoors.
Gold Coast homes live outside — but sun, glare, wind and sideways rain can make your best spaces unusable for half the day. Outdoor shutters in strengthened aluminium shield your patio, deck, balcony or alfresco from the weather while the adjustable blades keep the airflow moving — so closing them in never feels like boxing them in.
Because every set is custom made, wide openings and irregular outdoor areas aren't a problem. And where fabric-only options simply soften the elements, aluminium gives you a stronger external screen — separating your outdoor living space from streets, neighbours and side access areas, and adding privacy and a more secure feel to exposed openings.

Why aluminium — and which colour suits your home.
Aluminium is the material we trust outside for a reason: it's strong, it doesn't warp or rot, and its powder-coated finish stands up to years of sun, salt air and rain with almost no upkeep. Choose from four standard colours below — or have your shutters custom powder-coated to match your home's exterior exactly.

Built stronger than it needs to be
Our Bermuda 2000 Series shutters are manufactured from strengthened aluminium and independently tested to withstand the equivalent of up to 279 km/h winds — Category 4 cyclone conditions. That strength is what makes them a genuinely stronger external screen than fabric-only options: better privacy, better protection, and a low-maintenance finish that outlasts timber-style products outdoors.
Custom powder coating available
Want something beyond the four standard colours? We can custom powder-coat your shutters to suit your home's exterior — matched to your cladding, trim or frames. Browse the Dulux powder-coat colour range (PDF), or just tell us what you're after at your consultation.

There's no single right answer — it depends on your location, exposure, privacy needs, security priorities, wind conditions and how you actually use the area. Here's the honest comparison.
Aluminium Shutters
Best if you want a strong, permanent outdoor shutter with privacy, airflow, durability and adjustable light control. The pick for security-conscious homeowners and exposed areas that cop the weather. You're in the right place.
Outdoor Blinds
Suited to larger openings where flexible fabric screening, weather protection and roll-up operation matter more than a fixed finish. See our outdoor blinds and track-guided Ziptrak blinds.
Awnings
Best for overhead shade across windows, patios, balconies and outdoor entertaining spaces — shade from above rather than screening from the side. Compare our retractable awnings.

Bi-fold, sliding, hinged or fixed — which suits your space?
The right configuration depends on how you use the area, how wide the opening is, and whether you want the panels to disappear completely or stay put.
Bi-fold
Panels stack discreetly back on themselves when opened — perfect for indoor-outdoor flow. Close them for an enclosed BBQ area or patio; fold them right back to open the space to your garden, pool area or yard.
Sliding
Best for large outdoor areas that suit bigger panels. Sliding panels glide across a track like a sliding door — fully closed or fully open — typically paired with fixed panels either side.
Hinged or fixed
The versatile option for windows and openings, indoors or out. Hinged panels swing open for access and cleaning; fixed panels provide permanent screening, heat deflection and privacy where you need it to stay put.
Four standard colours — or match your home exactly.
Every aluminium shutter is finished in a durable powder coat that protects the metal and keeps its colour through years of sun, salt air and rain.
Standard colours
- Pearl White — crisp and bright, suits coastal and Hamptons-style homes
- Birch White — a softer warm white that pairs with cream and stone tones
- Precious Silver — contemporary metallic grey for modern builds
- Black Satin — bold architectural contrast for dark trims and frames

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. How to Make a Warranty Claim
Warranty claims can be made at point of sale, or by emailing a claim to the manufacturer within one (1) month of a defect appearing. Claims must include: date of purchase, proof of purchase, date of installation, and contact details.
Easy care. Long life.
Aluminium shutters are about as low-maintenance as outdoor products get. A simple wash-down a few times a year keeps the powder-coated finish looking new — more often if you’re close to the beach.
Regular care
- Wash with a soft cloth or sponge and warm, soapy water to remove dirt, salt and debris
- Rinse with clean water and dry with a microfibre cloth
- Check hinges, locks and tracks periodically to ensure smooth operation
- Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if needed
What to avoid
- Harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasive cleaners — they can damage the powder-coated finish
- Pressure washing at close range
- Forcing a panel that catches — check the track and hinges first, or book a service
