Outdoor Blinds Cost Gold Coast: 2026 Price Guide
What will outdoor blinds cost for your patio, deck or balcony? It depends on the size of the opening, the track system, the fabric, whether the blind is manual or motorised, and how easy the opening is to reach. This guide explains what drives the price, how ZipGlide compares with roller and cable-guided blinds, and what to ask when you compare quotes.
The short answer: Our price guide lists outdoor roller and cable-guided blinds from A$850 / bay and our own ZipGlide® system from A$1,450 / 3m bay, supplied and installed. Motorising is an add-on that we price at your measure. A free in-home measure and quote turns your choices into one fixed, written price.
Key takeaways.
ZipGlide from A$1,450 / 3m bay
Our own side-channel system, made in Currumbin Waters. Indicative starting price from our price guide, GST-inclusive.
Roller and cable-guided from A$850 / bay
Indicative starting price for channel-guided roller blinds and for cable-guided blinds.
Size sets the price
The guide prices blinds per bay, so a wider or taller opening costs more.
Motorising is an add-on

What does “per bay” mean?
In outdoor work a bay is one opening between posts, beams or walls. Our price guide prices ZipGlide per 3m bay, so a wider or taller opening costs more. We confirm the layout at your measure.
Six things that set your price.
Size of the opening
Size is the biggest driver. Wider and taller openings use more fabric and larger hardware, and a very wide span may need more than one blind with a divider post. We plan the layout at your measure.
Track or channel system
Side-channel systems such as ZipGlide hold the fabric edge in a track, outdoor roller blinds run in channel guides, and cable-guided blinds suit wide openings where a channel track isn’t practical. Awnings are priced by the opening or per linear metre.
Fabric
Sunscreen mesh keeps the view and the breeze, clear or tinted PVC gives a fuller weather seal, and acrylic or blockout fabrics add privacy and shade. Fabric can move the price, so we bring outdoor fabric samples to your measure.
Manual or motorised
A manual blind is the starting point. Motorising is an add-on that we price at your measure, and our price guide shows sun and wind sensors from A$280 per bay. Motors can be battery, solar or 240V, with Alexa and Google Home control; see our automatic outdoor blinds.
Access and height
A blind on a ground-level patio is a different job from one on an upper-storey balcony or under a high pergola. We check access, height and fixing points at your measure, so they are reflected in your written quote.
Coastal hardware and finish
Salt air is hard on fabric and fittings, so we talk through fabric, powder-coat finish and fixings for your position. ZipGlide includes three standard hardware colours, and extra powder-coat colours are a small upgrade.
ZipGlide, roller and cable-guided blinds: what you pay for.
ZipGlide is our own side-channel system, made to measure in our Currumbin Waters factory and installed by our own team. In our price guide it starts from A$1,450 / 3m bay, while outdoor roller blinds with channel guides and cable-guided blinds start from A$850 / bay.
What goes into the ZipGlide price: concealed side channels with no exposed zips, cords or pulleys, a colour-matched cassette, three standard hardware colours, a choice of spring, solar or 240V drive, and a 5-year warranty on the system. One team builds, installs and services it.
What goes into the roller and cable-guided price: a standard outdoor roller blind running in channel guides, or, where a channel track isn’t practical, a cable-guided blind that suits wide openings.
Which suits you depends on the opening, the look you want and how sealed you want the space to feel. We’ll price the options at your measure so you can compare like for like.
How to compare outdoor blind quotes — ask every company to confirm, in writing:
- the system (side channel, channel-guided roller or cable-guided) and the brand
- the number of blinds and the size of each
- the fabric
- manual or motorised, and the motor type
- the hardware finish
- what is included, such as installation
- the lead time and the warranty
