Everything we make is built to your windows, in our own Gold Coast factory — so every product has its own deadline. Order on or before the date for your product and it will be measured, made and installed before Christmas. Miss it and the next available installation falls in the new year. Imported PVC shutters close first, on Friday 2 October.

That shutdown is why the order-by dates above sit where they do. You are welcome to place an order over the break — we will pick it up as soon as we are back on deck.
What “order by” actually means.
Your cut-off date covers two things — your quote accepted, and your check measure completed if your job needs one. Here is how it all fits together, from the first measure to installation.
We measure first
Everything is made to your exact windows, so the free in-home measure and quote comes before anything else. Allow time for it — don't leave it to the last week before your cut-off.
Your quote is accepted — by the date
The cut-off is the date your quote needs to be accepted — an enquiry on its own doesn't hold your place. Once your order is confirmed we book your spot in the production schedule, and we'll arrange your installation date with you closer to the time.
Your check measure is done — also by the date
If your job needs a check measure, it has to be completed before the cut-off as well, not just booked in. Nothing goes into production until those final sizes are confirmed.
Made, then installed before Christmas
We make it and our own installers fit it — the same team from start to finish. After the cut-off we'll still take your order; it just moves to the new year.
What is a check measure, and will my order need one?
A check measure is a final measure taken on site once your opening is finished and ready, to confirm the exact sizes we build to. It is not just new builds — a check measure can apply to any job where the sizes could still move between the quote and the build. That might be because the quote was worked out from plans, because windows, doors, flooring, tiling, architraves or benchtops were still to go in, because the opening was awkward to reach on the day, or simply because it is a large or complex job and we want a second set of numbers before anything is cut. Everything we make is cut to your measurements and cannot be resized afterwards, so where there is any doubt we would rather measure again than guess. If your order needs one, we will let you know and book it in with you.

Cut-off dates are set from our current production and shipping schedules. Shipping dates can move for reasons outside our control; if that happens we will contact you directly rather than let a date quietly slip.
