Terms and Conditions

These terms are between you and The Trustee for MRCS Business Trust, trading as Gold Coast Blinds & Shutters (ABN 35 265 994 403), 4 Queensbury Avenue, Currumbin Waters QLD 4223. Part A covers orders you place and pay for on this website. Part B covers orders we measure, quote and install in your home. Part C applies to all orders.

Part A: Online orders

Our contract

When you order on this website, a contract arises once we receive payment in full. You can pay with all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Zip Pay. You are charged at the time of order.

Prices

The price you pay is the price shown at checkout and on your confirmation email. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Changing or cancelling

You can cancel or change your order for a full refund until we start cutting your blinds. Use the help link on your order page, email info@gcblindsandshutters.com.au or call 07 5574 4788. Refunds go back to your card within 7 days; your bank may take a few more days to show it. Once cutting starts, your blinds are made to your sizes and cannot be cancelled or returned for a change of mind.

Measurements

You are responsible for the sizes you enter. Please check them against our How to Measure guide before you order, or book our free in-home measure and quote.

Delivery and collection

We deliver to the address on your order, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, or you can collect it if you chose collection at checkout. We use outside freight companies and will email you delivery updates. Delivery dates are estimates.

Part B: Measured, quoted and installed orders

The Terms and Conditions printed on your quote apply to these orders. In summary:

• Every order is check-measured before it is made.
• The deposit shown on your quote is payable when you accept it. The balance is due on completion of installation, or as stated on your invoice.
• Any amount unpaid 30 calendar days after the invoice date is referred to a debt collection agency. You will be liable for the recovery costs, including the agency’s fee of 30% of the total order amount (inc. GST).
• You can change or cancel before manufacture starts, and we refund your deposit less any reasonable costs already incurred. Once manufacture starts, the order cannot be cancelled.

Part C: Terms for all orders

Colours and descriptions

Screen colours vary, so please view a physical sample before ordering. Minor variations in colour or pattern between a sample and the finished product can occur.

Faulty goods and your consumer rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Our product warranties are in addition to these rights; see our Warranty Statement.

Cancellation by us

We may cancel an order, with a full refund, if we cannot supply the goods (for example, out of stock or discontinued), if we do not deliver to your area, or if the order contains a pricing or typing error.

Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supplier or freight delays, severe weather, fire or flood.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Any limit on our liability in these terms applies only to the extent the law allows.

Invalidity

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We handle your personal information under our Privacy Policy.
